Role Overview

We are seeking a Prompt Engineer with 1-3 years of hands-on experience working with AI tools and large language models. This role goes beyond writing prompts and focuses on understanding the strengths and weaknesses of different models, building prompt systems and workflows, benchmarking performance, and optimizing for both quality and cost.

The ideal candidate can move from concept to implementation, creating repeatable processes and evaluation frameworks that support real-world business use cases.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain prompt strategies and systems for business applications
Evaluate and compare AI models based on performance, cost, latency, and context limitations
Build structured prompt workflows, loops, and iteration strategies
Develop benchmarking and evaluation methods to measure output quality and consistency
Experiment with context windows, system instructions, and prompt structure to improve results
Recommend appropriate models for specific tasks to balance accuracy and cost efficiency
Document prompt strategies, findings, and best practices
Stay current on developments in the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem

Qualifications

Hands-on experience working with large language models and AI tools
Strong understanding of prompt design, context management, and model behavior
Ability to analyze outputs and make data-driven improvements
Experience translating ideas into structured, repeatable processes
Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with programming concepts or scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript, APIs)
Experience working with multiple AI models or providers
Experience integrating AI into workflows, automations, or internal tools
Experience developing testing or benchmarking frameworks
