Junior Prompt Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL and surrounding area. MUST be local to Orlando

About the Role We’re looking for a Junior Prompt Engineer with hands-on experience writing prompts for large language models (LLMs). If you’ve spent time designing prompts, tuning AI responses, or building basic AIpowered workflows - whether professionally or as a passion project - we’d love to hear from you.
In this role, you’ll focus on prompt engineering - writing, testing, and optimizing prompts to drive meaningful output from LLMs for conversational AI agents. Over time, the role will evolve to include software development responsibilities, working alongside other engineers to build and refine the AIpowered systems those prompts support.
Responsibilities
- Design and iterate on prompts for tasks for conversational flow, data extraction, and agent behavior
- Work with developers to integrate prompts into production systems, web hooks, and knowledge bases
- Gradually take on more development tasks: integrating APIs and supporting backend logic
Requirements
- 1–2 years of demonstrated experience writing and refining prompts for LLMs (personal or professional)
- Experience using OpenAI, Grok, Claude, or similar LLMs
- Development experience (personal, academic, or professional) in C/C++, Golang, Java, or Python
- Comfortable reading and writing code, even if it’s not your current primary skillset
- Analytical mindset with strong communication skills and willingness to learn new things
Nice to Have
- Experience using Git, REST APIs, Linux, or command-line tools
- Comfortable working with database technologies including MySQL or Postgres
- Exposure to no-code/low-code automation platforms like Make and n8n
- Familiarity with AI voice technologies that include platforms such as Twilio and Elevenlabs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
