seeking an experienced AI Prompt Engineer Consultant to support and advise our engineering team in enhancing AI-driven document extraction solutions for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) use cases. This role focuses on leveraging OpenAI models and Python-based AI libraries to optimize the extraction of structured data from unstructured documents such as rent rolls, leases, financial reports, and operating statements.

As a subject matter expert in prompt engineering, you will help design, refine, and deploy prompt strategies that improve accuracy, consistency, and scalability while transferring AI knowledge to the core development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, test, and optimize prompts for OpenAI’s language models (GPT-4, GPT-4o, etc.) to extract structured data from diverse CRE documents.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to integrate prompt solutions into existing Python-based extraction pipelines.
Advise on AI best practices, model selection, prompt tuning, and solution scalability.
Define and measure prompt success metrics such as accuracy, coverage, and reliability.
Conduct prompt evaluations, failure analysis, and continuous iteration to reduce hallucinations and improve outputs.
Provide knowledge transfer and hands-on guidance to internal engineers, upskilling them in AI-driven document processing techniques.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly OpenAI models, for real-world applications.

Strong expertise in prompt engineering and few-shot learning techniques.
Proficient in Python and key AI/NLP libraries such as LangChain, Transformers (Hugging Face), or similar.
Experience working with unstructured document extraction, ideally with Commercial Real Estate documents (e.g., rent rolls, lease agreements, financial reports).
Familiarity with AI evaluation metrics and prompt performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.

Experience with Azure OpenAI or other cloud-based AI platforms.
Background in CRE, finance, legal tech, or similar domains.

Job Type: Contract
