The Mission
Our client is building an advanced Agentic AI platform on Google Cloud, and they are looking for a Senior Prompt Engineer who can shape how these intelligent systems think reason and respond.
This role is not about writing one off prompts. It is about designing repeatable, auditable, and production grade prompt systems that drive consistent AI behavior across real world business use cases. You will sit at the center of AI data and engineering, turning complex context into high quality, reliable outputs.
Where You Will Add Value - Designing Intelligence
- Architect prompt strategies that guide reasoning extraction and decision making.
- Build modular prompt templates and schemas that scale across multiple use cases.
- Experiment with prompt structures to optimize accuracy, consistency, and explainability.
Shaping Context and Inputs
- Structure and curate contextual data that feeds agent workflows.
- Partner with data engineers and domain experts to ensure inputs are clean relevant and grounded.
- Apply RAG memory windows, prompt chaining, and schema based context design.
Tuning Agent Behavior
- Refine how the AI agent handles ambiguity, incomplete data, and complex reasoning.
- Use iterative testing and feedback loops to improve output quality.
- Ensure results are traceable and auditable.
Validation and Quality Control
- Build testing frameworks to evaluate prompt performance across scenarios.
- Detect and mitigate bias hallucinations and reasoning failures.
- Document patterns findings and optimization strategies.
Cross Functional Partnership
- Work closely with architects engineers data scientists and business teams.
- Act as the internal authority on prompt engineering best practices.
- Translate AI behavior into insights stakeholders can understand and trust.
Requirements
Core Skills
- Deep experience in prompt engineering for LLMs such as GPT PaLM or similar.
- Strong command of context engineering patterns including RAG chaining memory and schemas.
- Solid understanding of LLM behavior NLP and reasoning models.
- Expertise in data structuring grounding strategies and preprocessing.
- Hands on experience with Vertex AI, BigQuery, and GCP AI services.
- Strong Python skills for automation evaluation harnesses and testing.
Mindset and Strengths
- Highly analytical with a strong experimentation mindset.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and optimizing complex systems.
- Clear communicator who can explain AI logic to technical and business audiences.
- Strong documentation and design thinking skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience with MLOps and AI lifecycle tooling.
- Knowledge of responsible and ethical AI practices.
- Google Cloud certifications such as ML Engineer or Data Engineer.
- Background in multi agent or advanced reasoning systems.
