We are looking for a Prompt Engineer who will lead the rollout of Zingly’s AI agents across both digital and voice channels. In this role, you will work directly with customers to implement, configure, and launch AI agents that automate real business workflows.

You will act as the bridge between customers and our product team — ensuring deployments are smooth, aligned to business goals, and successful in production.
This role requires 3–4 hours overlap with PST and strong, consistent communication with teammates (in English).
Opportunities for Impact:
- Craft, test, and iterate on prompts to drive Zingly’s AI reps across a range of roles, from support agents to sales reps.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to build engaging, safe, and on-brand conversational experiences.
- Fine-tune prompts for performance across different models (OpenAI, open source, proprietary LLMs), use cases, and industries.
- Develop prompt frameworks that are reusable, modular, and easy for non-engineers to customize.
- Contribute to our red-teaming and guardrailing strategies to ensure output is safe, fair, and free of hallucinations.
- Evaluate and optimize GenAI and Zingly’s AI layer outputs across digital and voice channels.
- Help shape how AI agents speak, listen, and solve problems — ensuring natural, human-like interactions.
- Lead customer onboarding and deployment of Zingly’s AI agents.
- Translate business workflows into structured AI configurations and conversational flows.
- Customize agent behavior to meet industry-specific and operational requirements.
- Support post-launch optimization and continuous improvement.
- Act as a solutions partner in sales cycles, developing use cases for prospects across industries.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to share field insights and improve the platform.
About You:
- A wordsmith at heart, with a technical mind, you love turning messy input into crisp, helpful output.
- You’ve dabbled (or deeply explored) prompt chaining, few-shot learning, and prompt optimization.
- You enjoy breaking things just to see how they work (and then fixing them better).
- Equally comfortable editing prompts in a notebook or brainstorming role personas with a PM.
- Curious, humble, and ready to share your thinking, and listen to others’.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where ambiguity is part of the fun.
Preferred Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in prompt engineering, and conversational AI.
- Solid experience in digital & voice AI prompt engineering.
- Deep familiarity with GPT-4, Claude, or other LLMs and their strengths/quirks.
- Strong command of English grammar, tone, style, and when to break the rules.
- Comfortable with Python or other scripting languages to prototype prompt flows.
- Experience evaluating LLM responses for accuracy, tone, and business context.
- Exposure to RAG, embeddings, or LLMOps is a plus.
