Amsterdam · Full-time
Most news is consumed and forgotten. We’re building something people can explore, follow, and remember. Want to build that with us?
About TimePath
At TimePath, we’re rebuilding how news is experienced.
Instead of static articles, we create interactive formats like timelines, liveblogs, quizzes and collections: helping publishers turn news into something people can explore, follow, and engage with.
Our platform is already used by leading publishers such as De Telegraaf, de Volkskrant and Belfast Telegraph.
We’re a SaaS company based in Amsterdam, working with media companies across Europe. And we’re just getting started, with global expansion ahead.
The role
This is not a typical junior developer role.
You’ll work directly with the founder, the product, and real users — and quickly grow from solving issues to building features.
You won’t just support the product. You’ll shape it.
What you’ll do
- Turn real user needs into product improvements and technical solutions
- Take ownership of bugs — from identification to fixing them in production
- Improve and extend the product using AI (think: automations, smarter workflows, content structuring)
- Work on interactive formats used in real news environments (timelines, liveblogs, quizzes)
- Help scale a product used during live events and high-traffic moments
- Collaborate closely with the founder and contribute to product decisions
Why this role is interesting
- You ship fast — no endless layers or slow decision-making
- You’ll work on a live product used by major news publishers
- You’ll grow quickly from fixing issues to building new features
- You get hands-on experience with AI in a real product environment
- You’re early — meaning real ownership and influence on product & tech
- You work in a small, international team with a flat structure
Who we’re looking for
- 1–3 years of experience in software development
- You’re curious, hands-on, and like figuring things out yourself
- You’re interested in AI and how it can improve products
- You’re comfortable working close to product and users
- You’re based in (or willing to relocate to) Amsterdam
- You’re fluent in Dutch & English (French or German is a plus)
What we offer
- Salary around €3,500/month, review after 6 months
- Fast growth into a full product engineer role
- Direct exposure to product, users and company building
- Real responsibility from day one
- A chance to help build a product from early stage to global scale
