Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Prompt Engineer, based in Tel Aviv-Yafo, with the flexibility to work partly from home. The Junior Prompt Engineer will design, test, and optimize prompts for AI models to ensure accuracy, relevance, and efficiency. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth business research, refining natural language interactions, turning vague business ideas into precise instructions that make AI perform reliably, analyzing the effectiveness of prompt strategies, and integrating user feedback into iterative improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and refine high-quality prompts for GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and other LLMs/SLMs
- Apply advanced techniques (Chain-of-Thought, few-shot, role-playing, structured output, etc.) to improve accuracy and consistency
- Run systematic A/B tests, analyze outputs, and iterate quickly to reduce hallucinations and optimize token usage
- Build and maintain a reusable prompt library and documentation for the team
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and data teams to translate business needs into effective AI prompts
- Integrate prompts with APIs and simple Python scripts to automate testing and workflows
- Monitor performance and contribute to prompt-related metrics and dashboards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Psychology, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (MUST)
- Excellent command of Natural Language Processing concepts and AI prompt design
- Basic Python programming and experience working with APIs
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) and Excel
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Nice To Have
- Master’s degree in Data Science or a related technical/scientific discipline
- Advanced Python experience
- Familiarity with LangSmith or other prompt evaluation frameworks
- Experience with cloud AI platforms (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, etc.)
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub
- Previous exposure to conversational AI, chatbots, or fintech applications
