This is a position we're hiring for on behalf of our client.

We are looking for a visionary Product Prompt Engineer with a strong foundation in backend engineering, capable of building and integrating frontend systems, backend systems, customer service portals, and operations portals using AI tools. In this role, you will be at the forefront of adopting an AI-first approach to product development, continually challenging existing workflows and foundational engineering principles, while engaging in rapid experimentation to enhance value delivery to customers. This is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about product development and AI-driven workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Take the lead with AI-first adoption, leveraging AI tools and prompt engineering skills to automate work wherever possible so that we can improve time-to-value
"Question the requirements", to get to the essence of what is actually needed, ensuring that we are building the right things right
Collaborate with a new, AI-first product development team where you'll be at the heart of building and scaling innovative enterprise financial products, driving meaningful impact from day one
Take end-to-end ownership of the product, designing systems to satisfy customers and validating assumptions with data driven insights
Innovate like a startup—lead the charge from concept to deployment, continuously testing, learning, and improving your product with every iteration
Embrace the full product lifecycle; prioritise it, understand it, design it, build it, test it, run it and own it

Requirements

Must-have skills

Backend engineering experience: at least 5-7 years of backend engineering experience in one or more programming languages (Python, Java)
Knowledge or experience with Prompt Engineering is preferred or demonstrate a strong willingness and ability to self-learn Prompt Engineering.
System Architecture Design: Strong experience in designing and implementing system architectures, including defining technical solutions and making high-level design decisions
AI Tools: Proficient with Cursor or Windsurf; comfortable integrating AI tools into the development workflow
Product-driven mindset. Worked in product-led companies or cross-functional teams
Strong communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
Creative problem-solver: You tackle complex challenges with creativity and an analytical mindset, always balancing technical decisions with business outcomes
Adaptability & hustle: You thrive in an ever-evolving environment, where you can wear many hats, pivot quickly, and move fast without losing focus on the big picture
Team player with an edge: You bring a strong collaborative spirit to an AI-first team, but you're also ready to lead initiatives and be the go-to person for the features you own
Fluent in English: You're a smooth communicator, capable of turning technical jargon into easy-to-understand ideas for both teammates and stakeholders

Early Adopter: You have already built a few simple apps with AI tools, experimented with mcp servers and are familiar with prompt engineering
