We're seeking a skilled Agent Builder / Prompt Engineer to create custom agents from scratch while serving as the technical escalation point for our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) when they encounter challenges with pre-built templates.
Role Overview:In this mission-critical role, you will design and build customized agents from the ground up to meet client needs. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, translate these into detailed technical specifications, and deliver robust, tailor-made solutions. Additionally, you will provide expert support and troubleshooting for CSMs who need help refining or adjusting template-based solutions. Your unique combination of customer-facing insight and technical expertise will be vital in ensuring that our agents deliver clear, measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:- Custom Agent Development:
- Design and build bespoke agents from scratch, aligning with specific client requirements and business goals.
- Develop and implement advanced prompt engineering strategies to maximize agent performance.
- Ensure all new agents are thoroughly tested and optimized before deployment.
- Client Engagement & Requirement Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth discussions with clients to understand their objectives and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that both bespoke and template-based solutions meet client expectations.
- Technical Escalation & Support:
- Serve as the go-to technical expert for CSMs encountering issues or requiring advanced modifications to template-based solutions.
- Provide timely troubleshooting, advanced guidance, and creative problem solving to resolve technical challenges.
- Document and share best practices to support continuous improvement and empower the broader team.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams:
- Partner closely with our SQL and technical teams to implement complex queries and data integration as required by custom agents.
- Ensure seamless communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to maintain clarity in project requirements and outcomes.
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Innovation:
- Oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring that each custom agent adheres to our high standards of performance and reliability.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in AI and prompt engineering, integrating best practices and innovative techniques into your work.
- Contribute to the evolution of our agents product by providing feedback for refining our technology and processes.
Required Qualifications:- Domain Expertise
- Extensive experience and knowledge of online advertising, eCommerce, and attribution, either in-house or at a Marketing Agency.
- Ability to translate customer advertising/marketing goals and challenges into actionable plans to improve performance marketing results.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience in building AI-powered solutions or agents from the ground up.
- Strong proficiency in prompt engineering, including experience with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, other language models).
- Familiarity with SQL and data structures to support integration with technical teams.
- Customer-Facing Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience in roles that combine technical development with client interaction (e.g., product management, technical consulting) is highly desirable.
- Communication & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and a creative mindset for innovative problem solving under pressure.
- Team Collaboration:
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, including product, engineering, and customer success.
- Comfortable acting as both a technical leader and a supportive mentor for team members with less technical expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in startup environments or dynamic, fast-paced business settings.
- Prior experience in a role that required balancing custom development work with supporting and educating internal teams.
