Pika is looking for a sharp and systematic Prompt Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on crafting, optimizing, and documenting high-performing prompts across generative video, image, and text workflows. You’ll blend your technical understanding of AI tools with creative experimentation, helping to scale our content engine while pushing the boundaries of what's possible with GenAI. You’ll follow our content strategy, but also bring your own creative instincts into the mix.
This is not an arts-focused role — we’re looking for people who really know how to prompt.
Develop and optimize prompts for text-to-video and image models based on content goals
Train LoRAs based on evolving aesthetic micro-genres
Conduct structured prompt experimentation and fine-tuning
Track, label, and document performance and edge cases across generations
Work closely with creative leads to prototype and iterate at speed
Translate subjective creative goals into reproducible prompt logic
Identify opportunities to improve output quality, efficiency, and scalability
Collaborate with engineering on feedback loops and tagging systems
1+ years of experience working with GenAI tools (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, Pika, Luma, ComfyUI, etc.)
Deep familiarity with prompt structures, failure modes, and quirks across modalities
Comfortable writing and modifying scripts to automate or batch test prompts
Obsessed over prompt optimization, detail, and craft
Highly organized — able to track iterations, log changes, and debug outputs
Curious about both model behavior and language nuance
Prior experience with prompt engineering in a production, research, or agency setting is a strong plus
No formal arts background required (though a good eye and taste are very welcome)
