We’re hiring problem authors, solution checkers, and reasoning annotators. Remote, flexible 3–100 hrs/week (scale up/down). Paid per hour. You’ll write and verify olympiad-style items, break solutions into precise steps, and help evaluate model reasoning—using secure, GDPR-compliant workflows.About Poindexter Labs
We design high-fidelity STEM reasoning datasets and evaluations used to train and test state-of-the-art models. Our contributors are olympiad alumni, coaches, and proof-savvy students who care about correctness, clarity, and rigor.What you’ll do
- Author & curate problems (olympiad-style math/physics/CS; short multi-step items and variants).
- Write fully-worked solutions (clear proof/derivation + hints and counter-examples).
- Annotate reasoning into stepwise traces (dependencies, error types, alternate paths).
- Verify & edit others’ work for correctness, clarity, and style; convert to LaTeX.
- Evaluate model outputs using rubric-based and exact-match scoring; flag failure modes.
- Red-team prompts to expose reasoning gaps and hallucinations.
Who you are (must-haves)
- Strong proof-writing skills (IMO/IOI/Balkan/APMO/Putnam/Math/Physics olympiad experience, coaching, or equivalent).
- Comfortable with LaTeX and precise mathematical writing.
- Integrity first: you can explain how you solved something, not just give an answer.
- English working proficiency; meticulous about notation and definitions.
- 18+ and able to contract as an independent contractor in your country.
Time & pay
- 3–100 hours/week to start; full flexibility
- Paid per hour (rate card varies by contract).
- Competitive global rates; details shared during the interest form/screen.

We use cheat-resistant assessments during onboarding and project work:
- Parallel forms & seeded variants per candidate.
- Process evidence (scratch reasoning, step logs, LaTeX diffs).
- Hidden gold and style-consistency checks to detect tool-overreliance.
- This protects the integrity of the work and the team.
