Acai Travel is transforming the travel industry with AI-driven technology. Founded by serial entrepreneur Riccardo Vittoria (whose last venture was acquired by American Express GBT), Acai Travel is led by experienced leaders, including Pavel Pratyush (ex-Manomano, eBay) heading up Engineering.
We are looking for a Machine Learning & Prompt Engineer who will apply machine learning principles to the design, development, and optimization of prompts used in large language models. You will treat prompt engineering like a traditional ML model, where the training parameters are pieces of text that need to be continuously evaluated, tested, and improved.
This role will require you to set up robust frameworks for evaluating prompt performance, develop training and test sets, and build out the infrastructure needed to support prompt iteration at scale. You will be the connection point between engineering, prompt managers, and domain experts, guiding the process from conception to deployment.
- Prompt Engineering Frameworks: Develop and implement a machine learning approach to prompt design, treating text parameters as you would with model weights.
- Evaluation & Monitoring: Set up validation frameworks to rigorously test prompt performance and create feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Training Framework Development: Build training sets, test sets, and the necessary infrastructure to support prompt iteration and optimization.
- Backend Integration: Collaborate with engineering to integrate prompts seamlessly into our production environment, focusing on distributed systems and scalability.
- Production Monitoring: Implement observability practices to monitor the real-time performance of prompts and adjust them to optimize handling of 100K+ LLM calls per month.
- Collaboration: Act as the bridge between engineering, product, and subject matter experts to refine prompt strategies and improve LLM responses.
- Scalability Focus: Work with our tech stack (Golang, CI/CD, distributed architecture) to ensure that prompt frameworks can scale as we grow.
- Machine Learning Expertise: Very strong understanding of ML concepts, especially in relation to optimization and model evaluation. (necessary requirements, applicants without a strong mathematical ML background will be automatically rejected)
- Production Experience: Proven experience bringing ML algorithms to production environments.
- Fluent in Python: Exceptional fluency in Python with experience in building and deploying backend systems.
- English Proficiency: High level of proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for prompt creation and communication.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and best practices for software deployment and observability.
